The Cone floor lamp is a careful blend of materials: its structure is weathering steel, the polycarbonate lampshade covered with a synthetic fabric. The fabric’s trompe l’oeil motifs give an impression of raised grooves. Weathering steel is steel that’s been subjected to forced surface corrosion. The result is wonderful, and the material is as if naturally weathered by time. The Cone floor lamp has a cable to connect to the mains. The on/off switch is located on the base.
This floor lamp can be fixed directly to the ground, on a hard, flat surface (cement, wood etc). The 4 screws (not supplied) should be inserted into the hole of the steel plate. This floor lamp can also be freestanding if you mount it on the base, sold separately.
